Reasons and Remedies You Must Know About Back Acne If You Are One of them
Bacne:
Technically, it is called folliculitis. It is a condition that occurs when hair follicles become infected. It is a little different from facial acne, although they look the same. For this, you may notice that some people get acne on their faces but don't have any single bump on their backs; and vice versa.
Causes:
Summer time
Here's a fact: Your body sweats more and produces more oil during summer. Well, oil plus sweat on the back equals bacne! Moreover, sunscreen products can also cause breakouts, and you apply more of them during summer.
• Some products and clothes
Sunscreen, conditioner, body cream, etc. - these products can clog pores; hence the acne. Meanwhile, tight-fitting clothes can irritate and infect the hair follicles.
• Neglect
So, what does this suppose to mean? Well, let's say you take a bath regularly. But are you sure you're doing it the right way? Most people don't pay much attention to their backs because they're not easy to reach.
• Poor diet
Do you love burgers and dairy products? Sure, you can eat them; but do it moderately. Too much consumption of these foods can cause the appearance of those unwanted bumps.
• Genes
Do your parents have bacne? If so, then you are most likely to have it, too.
Remedies:
In reference to the abovementioned causes of bacne, here are some things you can do to banish it:
• Apply skin products that are quick to dry, and avoid leaving conditioner residues on your back.
• Don't wear tight-fitting clothes (like sports bra and gym shirts) for too long, or immediately take a shower after workouts.
• Don't forget to properly wash and exfoliate your back.
• Get around your genes by trying certain products - over-the-counter salicylic acid wash or oral antibiotic (with prescription).
